WELCOME TO THE NEW CONFESSIONS OF A YOUNG MARRIED COUPLE WEBSITE!

Well, after months of trying to pretend we know anything at all about building a website, Chris and I have finally done it.  We have a website.  I don’t know if any of you have ever tried to take on a large, creative task with your partner before, but I’d like to make a suggestion to you – don’t do it.  Ever.  It’s bad for business and bad for your marriage.  I can’t tell you how many times Chris and I argued over the last few months about this stupid website.  He didn’t like the colors.  I didn’t like the header.  He thought it was too simple.  I thought it was too confusing.  It was awful.

But after months of negotiating, a few sessions with a divorce attorney (only kidding), and several rounds of beers and root beer, we finally agreed and I think it looks pretty darn good.  I hope you all think so, too.  Be sure to take some time to root around in the pages above to see what all is going on.  There’s lots of places for me to ramble, so if you’re bored at work or trying to waste time in the bathroom on your laptop so you don’t have to do yard work (you guys do that, too, right?), feel free to snoop.

I should probably take this ceremonial time to thank my web team:

The Web Master
The Web Master

Chris, my web master.  Chris took every idea I randomly threw at him and tried to make it happen.  And then when I’d call him at work the next day with a completely different idea, he’d scratch everything and start over again.  And he didn’t complain (often).  And he still cooked my dinner (sometimes).  And he didn’t charge me a fee (except for a share of my Girl Scout cookies).  We’ve never done a project like this together, and I hope we never do again.  But it was nice of him to help me out.  Cause the only kind of cookie I know about are covered in chocolate.

The Business Manager
The Business Manager

Lucy was my business manager who kept track of our bones.  She kept us on task and made sure to bark her head off at us if she felt we were screwing around and not being productive.  Or not paying enough attention to her.  She was a tireless associate.

The HR Rep
The HR Rep

Molly was our HR Rep, who made sure that we took time out of locking ourselves in the basement in front of the computer to do things like throw sticks and dig in flower beds.  She cheered us on the entire time with encouragement in the form of sloppy kisses and she knocked us around with her giant paws whenever she thought we were getting off task.

And lastly, thanks to all of you who check in every day to Marriage Confessions.  Its been great to watch our readership grow, and I hope that we continue to meet new people on our new website.

Enjoy!
