Poesidon in the Bathtub

When I was in college, I was an English literature major and one of my minors was Classics.

So, I studied a lot about Greek mythology and the Roman Empire and types of columns.  But mostly, it was the Greek mythology that I liked.

They were weird, strange stories about angry gods who smashed down things with lightning bolts and rode around on horses with wings.

One of my favorite stories was of Poesidon.  Not so much because he was a good guy (dude, no means no, P-god…), but because he got around on a golden chariot that could fly through water.

Sometimes during Bean’s baths in his new duck bathtub, I can’t help but think of my Classics courses in college.

And I wonder if its possible that Poesidon, God of the Sea, loved the water any more than Bean Man does…
