Recap of the LIVE Video Chat!
Last night Chris and I reached out to our peeps. We mingled with the peoples. AND IT WAS AWESOME! Chris and I answered questions from people about our history with blogging and we gave some advice (which is funny because we still don’t know what we’re doing most of the time…) on how to grow your blog. We had about 125 people come by and join the conversation and it was just crazy fun!
For those of you who took the time to spend an hour with us, thank you so much! It gave Chris and I a better idea of what you all are looking for from us and how we can get better. I hope you all learned some stuff from us, too. I know one of the major things we talked about was growing your site by leaving your blog address in the comments of other blogs, so today (and every day really) we are opening the comments up so that you all can leave links to your blog for us to read and for other readers to read.

Ok, you guys are TOO FREAKING CUTE! =) Thanks for sharing! I especially liked your answer on how to get over parents/family reading your blog. Helps to know someone else is thinking about these things! I’m not trying to “grow” my blog, but the more friends read it the more I’m thinking about it. The most random people come up to me to let me know they cracked up reading about something that happened in our home the other night. Which is sort of a strange privacy issue. In any case, I have NO idea why P-Dubs hasn’t invited you to her ranch yet.

I caught the last five minutes of the live chatting and watched the recording (thanks for doing that btw). I’m not sure what I want for my blog, I have a little problem that starts with a big P but I so enjoyed your tips and advice so I will have get off my lazy arse and to get to typin’ good luck with the move! I have not been back to O-town (yes I said O-town) since graduation (Go Knights) be sure to get a date night in at The Enzian, that was my then boyfriend’s (now husband) and mine favorite spot.

I am glad you were able to record the live video because my baby was still awake so it wasn’t possible for me to participate at that time. I have no plans to do what you are doing but I love to read your blog and really wish that I had your talents– Katie and Chris. I found your blog through Pioneer woman’s blog and found her blog because a fellow dietitian told me about her recipes. I am big on scrapbooking and so I started writing so stuff on a blog more for my own kids to someday read rather than other people. I wish that I knew how to write better but I guess the most important thing is that I am trying:)

Sorry I was tardy to the party, I got called in to work.
I have a blog myself (which I asked Katie to guest blog for a day while my computer’s being fixed) and I’ll definitely be taking your words into consideration.
My blog is about me, being a “city” girl (I use that term loosely as my town was not really a city) and my Prince came by and swept me off my feet (and rescued me from an abusive relationship) and took me two provinces away to small-town Saskatchewan, Canada. Each day I try to find reasons not to kill him for taking me fourteen hours away from my parents (aka the best friends), we talk about TTC, and last year I got really sick (the “doctors don’t know what’s wrong” kind of sick) so we went on that journey together.
