Fridge Fun

When I was leaving Connecticut, one of my co-workers gave me a little something for Bean to play with at our new house.  It was a LeapFrog Fridge Phonetics Magnetic Letter Set ($29.99 on Amazon).  It was the coolest toy I’d ever seen.

You put these letters on your fridge, just like normal letter magnets…

And these letters plug into this little dog house…

And when you snap the letter in, the dog house plays a little song about each letter.  It takes alphabet magnets to a whole new level of cool.

Bean loves them.  He plays in the kitchen with them while I cook.

He really likes to push the yellow dog bone because that plays the entire ABC’s song.  And then he can dance.

He also likes to eat the magnets.  Sometimes he gets confused.

He likes to turn around and put the letters on our dishwasher, too.  And then he spends hours going back and forth between the dishwasher and the fridge so that he can put each letter in the dog house.

There’s no question that Bean loves this toy.  But I love it, too.  It keeps him busy and happy (and out of the dog bowls…) while I’m cooking or cleaning the kitchen.  And its fun for him, but educational, too.  If he’s going to hear a song, then why not dance to something that helps his little brain fill up?

Because Bean Man is so stinkin’ generous, today he is giving away a LeapFrog Fridge Magnetic Letter Set to a lucky reader.  To be entered to win, leave a comment below telling me what your child’s favorite toy is right now.  I love hearing about what other babies are playing with, so help me stay informed!

The giveaway will close at 8:00pm TODAY and a winner will be announced tomorrow, May 6.  And, yes, I’ll ship internationally!

This giveaway is not sponsored by anybody.  Except Bean.

Molly’s only 4 months old, so she’s not into too many toys yet. But just this past weekend she finally figured out how to turn all the way around in her exersaucer and now she LOVES it! She runs circles in it, the whole time trying to blow raspberries. It is insanely adorable:)

  • Kate B

My baby is due any day now!! So it’s favorite toy is my bladder. And my ribs. Can’t wait till he/she comes out and gets some new toys that don’t cause me pain. 🙂

    Thanks, Bean!

  • Natalie

My sons favorite toy right now is a Baby Einstein book that has crinkly sounding pages. He’s 3 months old, and just starting to take an interest in things other than eating and sleeping. He loves things that make a noise when he squishes them in his hands.

  • Cristina L.

My niece is only 10 days old, so she mostly just eats, sleeps, and poops. But her parents are hoping she’ll get used to her swing pretty soon. She likes the rocking, but doesn’t like being restrained in it. I can’t wait until she’s a little bit older and starts playing with her toys!

  • Laura

I bet that fridge alphabet/puzzle will be fun for bean for many more months! Penny loves the puzzles with the big knobs. She does the same 2 puzzles over and over and over again. I thought toddlers had a 2 minute attention span?

  • Diane C

Emma is almost 14 months old and her favorite toy right now is a wooden Winnie the Pooh shape sorter block. Or anything else that she can stack and put things in.

  • Kevin

Our son Connor’s favorite toy is the remote control for the television. He loves that dang thing and will find it anywhere. We found an old remote that we give him to distract him from the real thing but you can’t fool him!
The plus side to this is that we rarely lose the remote anymore.
    PS
Whoever writes the Man Cave section is slacking. Just sayin’.

  • Lisa B

My daughter’s favorite toy right now is our beagle, Howie. But when he actually finds a spot to hide in, she likes to play with a Magna-Doodle. She’s 16 months old and loves to scribble all over it.

  • Melissa G

Ethan’s favorite toy is his Leapfrog My Pal Scout. It plays music. Scout is his pillow when he lays down. Ethan is now 15 months old. I am glad you posted about this toy. If I don’t win it for Ethan, then I am going to go get it for him. He plays with his older siblings magnet letters on the fridge, but I like this better. It sings.

  • Jessica

My little man loves the Fisher-Price Interactive Baby Grand Piano. He stands up on it like its an activity table and never tires of it!

  • Bethany

Oh my goodness, what fun!!! My 14 month old LOVES anything and everything “Little People”. We have the plane, zoo, carriage, and boat that accompany these adorable ‘little people’. Olivia has so much fun with them.

Your little Bean certaintly gives me a tooth ache with how sweet he is 🙂

  • Michelle, Mom of Henry (12m!)

Oh we would LOVE this toy- Mommy can use all the help I can get in the kitchen toy department! His favorite toy I’d have to say his new lawnmower by little tikes (http://www.target.com/gp/detail.html/185-4170152-3594141?asin=B0038M8EQO&AFID=Froogle_df&LNM=%7CB0038M8EQO&CPNG=patio%20garden&ref=tgt_adv_XSG10001). It’s super cute, has LOTS of buttons and even a pretend gas can so he can fill up the tank. He pushes it around the house alllll the time! 🙂

  • Liss

My son likes playing with the vacuum cleaner, computer mouse, my wallet, catalogues, empty packaging, my hair… pretty much anything that ISN’T specifically put in front of him for his entertainment.
He may not appreciate the magnets… 😛

He does really like the Manhattan Toy Skwish, though.

  • Kaitlyn

My Baby is due in October. It seems my husband has totally taken on my normal Type A personality and wants to find every educational toy possible. He’d be ecstatic if we won this! Ok…. I would too!

  • Holly at Perrydise

Our daughter will turn 1 this month! Her favorite toy is a farm with little animals and a tractor. It is just like ‘little people’ by fisher price but it is made by another brand. She will sit and put the animals in and then take them out over and over again. 🙂 That fridge toy looks great!

  • Dayla

My nephew LOVES his soccer ball. He will be 2 in Sept. With an Italian father who used to play soccer profesionally, the kid came out kicking a ball!!

  • Heather Ben

really into a little Abby figurine from sesame street right now.

also loves stacking/nesting cups. if bean doesn’t have these already, they are a MUST and cheap! can get them at toys r us for about $10.

  • Jen C.

That looks like it would be a lot of fun if I actually let Ellie into the kitchen to play. (we have a very small kitchen…very, very small) Her favorite toy, though, is the Fisher-Price Brilliant Basics Baby’s First Blocks that Bean got for Christmas. (and no, I did not get that for her after you posted about it. Her aunt actually bought it for her)

Actually, I should rephrase that…her favorite toy is the BUCKET from the Brilliant Basics Baby blocks toy. She has pretty much lost all the blocks the first week after opening the toy and the lid is also long gone now but she loves that bucket. She loves to carry it in the crook of her arm as if it’s a purse and walk around putting trash into it. (Yes, I let my 1 year old play with trash…but it’s CLEAN trash.)

  • Jennifer in CA

Gwendolyn, my 4 month old, really likes to pull on her infantino farm animal toys. They each have rings on them either as feet or tails and when you pull on them they make rattle sounds or other fun noises. She has a red chicken that squeaks, a pink piggy, and a little cow. I have them above her changing table and the make a great distraction when changing her diapers.

  • Joanie

Silas’ favorite toy is and has always been his stuffed Pooh bear. The thing was bigger than him when he first fell in love with it, and he’s still toting it around all this time later!

  • September

Davis is obsessed with the CD player he got for his birthday–his favorite album is the Glee Soundtrack. Frankly I encourage it, if only to see him gettin’ down to “Bust a Move.”

  • Reba

One of my almost 2 year old’s favorite toys are these stacking barrels (sort of like Russian Dolls) that my mom got him. They probably cost 2 dollars but he loves to take them apart, stack them, put one inside of the other etc. It’s a great toy because it makes zero noise! 🙂

  • stephanie

My twins will be two on Sunday (Mother’s Day!!) and their favorite toy right now is anything that is NOT a toy. Cell phone, keys, paper, markers, rocks…you get the idea!

    Bean is adorable!

  • Maria

My son’s favorite toy at the moment is also made by LeapFrog – they just rock! He loves his fridge DJ! It sings the alphabet song as well as a few other fun lil educational ditties and he just dances right along. I know he’d absolutely love these magnetic letters! Thank you for the chance to win them!

  • Waeni

My babys favorite toy right now is my hubbys tongue! he loves to bits..
im sure hell enjoy this toy once he gets there!

  • Ann

I think Connor’s favorite toy is the Sillytown Stack n Surprise blocks. Although lately he has been really into the Busy ball pop and play – and sometimes he tries to put the sillytown people into the busy ball!

But who are we kidding – he would sell it all for the TV remote!

  • Lena

My 3 year old’s favorite toy would probably be her crayons and markers. She loves to draw and then hang the pictures all over the house. My 5 month old just started getting into toys and currently loves anything he can bat at or chew on.

  • Kristy

My son, Nolan, who is 15 months old loves to play with anything that has a lid, he likes to take lids off and put them back on so my pots and pans are a lot of fun for him.

And I have to agree with Ann, my son thinks the TV remote is awesome…he giggles every time he turns the TV off in the middle of my favorite shows.

  • Katie

Bug loves balls…all sizes and colors. Those that bounce and those that merely roll. He will chase them all day, all over!

  • Whitney

My little boys favorite toy right now is his guitar. He thinks he’s a rock star! And tells me he is all the time.
He’s almost three and he still plays with the letter magnets on our fridge!

  • Megan (Best of Fates)

I’m commenting because I want to say that looks like an awesome toy, and that we all get confused and eat magnets sometimes.

But please don’t let me win.

My friends would only mock me when I kept pressing the bone and dancing.

  • Jennifer

Right now my 14 month old is into the red wood disc that is the bottom disc of the stack….thats it he doesn’t like the other smaller colored discs just the red one.

  • andrea

AJ’s (age 3) favorite toy changes about every 10 minutes, though he always comes back around to his rocket ship. We are taking him to the launch next friday! He also informed me today that he wants a ‘caterpillar, frog and mud party’ for his 3rd birthday. i’ll have to see what i can do about that.
Ryan (6 months) loves her Rainforest Jumperoo. she bats at all the toys and spin-y things and babbles and yells at the top of lungs, all while bouncing her head off. She also loves anything that is AJ’s. How can she already know how to push her big brothers buttons, she actually pushes his hands out of the way and takes his toys. She is definitely the queen of the house.

  • Laura

My niece enjoys cell phones, water bottles, paper towel rolls, and anything that makes a crinkly noise. (Babies sure are weird.) She also loves her ball popper with the big button on the top.

  • Emily

My child is 16 months old and her favorite toy is her books. She spends hours bringing me each one and jumping out of my lap in the middle of it to grab another! So cute yet so annoying:)

  • Candice

I don’t have a kid yet (due in a week or so!) but my 2 yr old nephew’s favorite toys are anything that mimics what Daddy does in the house or the yard – so he loves his vacuum, the Swiffer, his wheelbarrow, his power tools, his gardening tools… I keep saying he needs to come to my house and clean up.

  • Ivette

My son is 11 and his favorite toy is the Wii. My daughter is 8 and she loves her bike. I would love to win this for my cutie pie little nephew!

  • Meghan

My son’s fav toy at the moment is the dog bowl, no lie. Also? The plugs that go into the wall sockets that he can easily pull out. Sigh.

  • Laura

Cameron’s favorite baby toy right now is his little tonka car we got him for Easter. Non-baby toys include DVDs and the Xbox controller. 🙂

  • Amy

Right now my baby’s favorite toy is his playmat and the elephant that hangs from it. The elephant is his new BFF.

  • Catherine M.

Given that my little beanette is 5 weeks away from being born (give or take), she’s not yet into toys though she seems to get excited when I run the kitchen sink (she already has a high standard of person hygiene).

    Thanks, Bean!

  • Rebekah M.

CJM is loving the Handy Manny Talking Toolbox & a random toy my g.mother bought him for Easter. Its a kid-sized grabber (much like the as-seen-on-tv gopher!!!)

  • Leslie

Harvey is 18 months and his favorite toy right now is the cart from the roller coaster set. He likes to sit on it and wheel around the house. Give him that and his soccer ball and he’ll be set for the whole day… well at least 5 minutes.

  • Jessica Duran

Joshu, my 20 month old, loves his tonka dump truck. He puts his collection of Schleich animals in, pushes it to a different location, dumps them, and repeats. All the while his sister Sophia(4) will push her baby doll stroller with about 5 baby dolls in it around him!

  • Dr. Mom

My son’s favorite toy is the LeapFrog Fridge DJ :

    http://www.amazon.com/LeapFrog-Fridge-Magnetic-Learning-Radio/dp/B000EULX8E

He’s not quite 2 yet, but knows all his ABC’s and numbers 1-10. I would say some of that came from this particular toy.

He will also grab any ball in sight, or anything round that resembles a ball. His love, however, is his “Taggie” (That’s what we call it. I know, original). His came as a handmade shower gift, but there’s a site solely dedicated to taggies:

    http://www.taggies.com/home_us.html

He would definitely be fan of the LeapFrog letter set!

  • Jess

Well, since he’s almost 18 months old, it’s anything other than what is in his toy box. He loves cups; we have a cup cupboard just for him to stack, sort, etc. So while I’m making dinner, I’m also tripping over cups. Fun times!

  • Christy

My daughter’s favorite things in the world right now are sort of trash. She loves my old sunglasses and the little coupon card from a grocery store. She’s 16 months old and so funny.
    Thank you!

  • Lacy

Tristan loves his little stuffed Clifford the big red dog toy. He carries that thing everywhere and has conversations with it. Clifford is never far from Tristan’s sight. Its quite funny.

Nice giveaway! Tristan would love this!

  • Marlene

My children’s favorite toy was a wooden spoon and pan lids! Yep, I’m old. BUT, my GRANDCHILDREN enjoy this toy very much. Since we have one that is just now 9 months and one on the way, we’d love to have one for OUR house!

  • Whitney

Thank you, Bean, for being so generous!! Weebie told me to tell you he would loooooove that toy. And that if he wins, he’ll name his teddy bear after him.

  • kathie

Our 15 month old’s favorite toy is a stuffed animal border collie dog that he carries with him everywhere he goes!

  • Ruth

Emily loves to play with our old phones! She carries on imaginary conversations that only she can understand. She needs some songs to dance to!

  • lindsay

My child plays with the idea of coming into existence as we are TTC right now. BUT, I have TONS of friends and family with young children and I have given the Leap Frog fridge magnets as gifts before and will do so again. I’d love to win this so I can pass it on to friend (or keep it for my own child once he/she gets with the whole coming into existence thing).

  • Mellen

Katie, I must start off by telling you that I love your blog! I have been obsessed with it for the past 2 weeks and my husband may think I am deranged because I suddenly laugh at the computer screen. My daughter turns 9 months old today – :O(. It seems as though Claire & I go through a situation and the very next day you are blogging about it – both on the marriage and bean blogs. For instance, just over the weekend I told my husband we should stop giving her the bottle of vitamins to play with during diaper changes – it is the only way to get her to lay still!

Claire, like I said, is 9 months old today and she has two favorite toys – she LOVES her little tykes piano and she loves her inflatable duckie bathtub…when it is not filled with water. Don’t get me wrong…she LOVES baths. She just likes her duck better when it is on the carpet and she can push it around while she walks!

  • Beth

My 5 month old LOVES her playmat with the toys hanging above and the bear that sings lots of songs to her while she plays. She would LOVE the magnets in just a few short months!

  • Kathleen

My almost-five-month-old daughter Josie is currently digging a styrofoam egg carton. (Of course, I washed it before handing it over.) She loves rubbing the top and bottom together to make it SQUEAK!, running her hands up and down the ridges and whacking me in the head with it. I tried to convince myself it is education because I can show her the concepts of open and close, inside and outside but I do feel kind cheap about it.
Still, she likes it over her rattles, soft blocks and musical toys (you know, the expensive ones). I can already tell she’s going to be the kid who plays with the bubble wrap.

  • Adrienne S

Baby #1 is due September 23rd so we’ve got awhile before any “outside” toys are needed, but my BFF has leapfrog fridge magnet set for her daughter and she loves it! It would be great toy to have waiting in the wings. Thanks Bean!

  • Gina B.

Currently… she’s a fan of my make up brushes and any packing materials her father leaves laying about. We need some real toys that might hold her interest!

  • sara B

My 6 month old’s favorite toy right now is a stack of those plastic rings. He can throw the rings all over the room, or he can also put them in his mouth. How much more exciting does it get?

  • michelle

my boys are 11 months and they the refrigerator and the oven. i can’t get them out of the kitchen. they lick it, slobber on it, bang on it and fight over it. most of the time my kids are making out with fridge or two timing it with the stove.

  • Emily S.

My baby is still in the womb, but at our ultrasound yesterday she was sucking on her thumb, so I’ll go with that. 🙂

  • Kristin

Well, seeing as how my bun is still cooking – I’d have to say his/her fav toy is their thumb.. who knows? As he/she is not big enough to kick the crap out of me yet, I am not in the running for the award. Maybe next month.

For a kid who gets into church brawls, Bean sure is good at sharing. 🙂

  • Melanie Mott

Xander’s favorite toy right now is my ipod….he absolutely loves music and any time he feels like dancing he walks up to the i pod docking station and turns in on and immediately starts dancing

  • Katie

My son will be 18 months old on the 29th of this month. He is always on the go, so it’s difficult to narrow it down to one favorite toy. He prefers to play with anything that he’s not supposed to play with: the computer, the remote, my cell phone, etc. But other than those things, right now he really enjoys coloring with his crayons. I’ve been trying to teach him his colors, so right now he calls his crayons ‘blue’. Anytime he says ‘blue’, I know he’s telling me he wants to color. His two favorite coloring books are his Sesame Street book, and his Mickey Mouse Clubhouse one. Those are also his two favorite TV shows!

  • Amanda

Amelia loves playing with a spatula and a big pink bowl – either that or a shoebox. She would love those fridge magnets!

  • Brenna

Our neighbors gave my 2 year old a zu zu pet. I didn’t even have any idea what it was until somebody told me. Anyway, he LOVES it. He turn it on and then run around after it as it zooms around the living room floor.

  • Ellen

So my child is still in utero. . . can I still play? Right now the favorite toy is my bladder 🙂 Looking forward to better and more exciting toys!

  • colleen

Nolan’s favorite toy is his baseball that hangs from his car carrier. He touches it and bats at it. That’s ‘playing’ for an 8 week old.

  • Marina

Ooh, those magnets look great! I’m going to have to get some. My son is 7 months old and he LOVES his Sassy jumper (the kind you put up in doorframes).

  • Mari H.

Malena’s (2 years old) favorite toy is currently my antibacterial cleaning wipes! She loves to go around and clean everything. I guess I will keep encouraging this! Mommy doesn’t mind a clean house!

  • BrookeCarrie

Alison’s favorite toy is her brush. I know, not really a toy but it makes her happy, which makes me happy.

  • jaymee

    how nice of bean man!

I’m no help to you though – right now my daughter’s favorite toy is my make up brush. Sigh. So much for that beauty is on the inside lesson I’ve been tring to pound into her. : )

  • Chanon

Alex’s favorite toys are the stackable blocks that are clear and have something inside of them. We stack them as high as we can all over the living room floor and he crawls like a speed racer to go knock them down. 🙂

  • Betty

Well, since little Levi is still inside of me (come on August!!) I would say that his favorite toy at the moment is my bladder. BUT I think that he would LOVE this alphabet magnet toy once he’s born. And until then, I’m sure Matt (husband) will love playing with it 🙂

  • Lindsey

I’m not a mother but I am a nanny for a little boy who is 13 months. His favorite thing right now is Fisher Price red swing. I don’t think it was more than $30. Oh, he also loves to throw balls into the bushes while swinging and laughs hysterically while I try to fish them out.

  • Claire

I’m helping a friend care for her 4 week old twins, and these days their favorite toys are their SwaddleMe swaddlers. They love playing Houdini and ooching their way out of the swaddlers, gumming the edges, and pretending to be inchworms!

  • Jon

That looks so cool! My son, Maddox, is 11 months old and his favorite toy at the moment are potatoes. No joke. He plunders our pantry in search of them and yells with delight when he finds them hiding back there. He’s also fond of trying to take big bites out of them.

  • Katie

What a great toy! My Tara is almost 11 months and loves her Playskool walker. She’s trying desperately to walk on her own and it helps her practice her balance, and has little gadgets on it for her to play with, like the “trunk” she hides her binky in.

  • Steve

My 6 month old son and my 3 year old daughter both have the same favorite toy, ME. The both love to play with Daddy, mostly because he is full of AWESOMENESS!

  • JLOhlmann

I don’t have kids, but my students have been enjoying the K’nex lately. We have a small motor and they built a great Merry Go Round!

  • carla

    OMG I want this one!

My daughter is 14 months and loves her see and say. she’s learned most of the animals and what sounds they make that way. She also loves a board book called “the Alphabet Book” by Dr Seuss. She’s learned all her letters that way (Or at least when I say “where’s the Q? she can point to it)

  • Heather in NY

My 2 year old son loves his Handy Manny Tool box. He carries it all over the house and beats the heck out of it with the toy hammer. I think he would love this fridge alphabet toy. I hadn’t seen this one before.

  • ashley

My son jonas is only 6 months, but he LOVES his Baby Einstein Jumperoo, and his stuffed monkey Jake!!!

  • Amy

My 10 month old loves his toy trucks, but mostly his Tonka car! Although, he loves just about everything else that isn’t an actual toy as well. Remotes, pots, my book light, the wipes container.

  • Amanda

Jack (15 months) loves Scout. It’s the Leapfrog dog that is on this magnet toy, only he’s stuffed and sings songs with Jack’s name in it. He loves to push his paws to make the songs start. He also loves anything with wheels: Firetrucks, buses, dump trucks, trains (LOVES to say CHOO CHOO!), cars, bikes…you get the picture. 🙂

  • Natalie

My daughter is 11 weeks and just beginning to play with toys, but she really loves her little floor mirror. It has a roller ball on it that she just figured out how to move!

  • Kimberly Eisma

My little boy is 20 months and loves cars right now. He’s so obsessed that the first thing he says in the morning is “car” and he even wakes up in the middle of the night saying “car” sometimes too!

  • Kourtney

I don’t have any children, but I’m sure my niece would love it! I used to baby-sit kids who would play with this toy for HOURS.

  • Lissa

My 3 year old adores his Bubble Mower. My 9 month old loves anything my 3 year old has! But really he loves balls, especially if they have something inside of them that rattles.

  • Heidi

My 9 month old son’s favorite toy is the Fisher Price bongos. He has actually sat and played them for 15 minutes. All at once. All 15 minutes in a row. Amazing!

  • Karen

Zachary’s favorite toy is our dog and all of her associated toys. He loves to play fetch with her & play with her stuffed animals. Sometimes I think he thinks he’s turning into a puppy 🙂 hehehe.

    Thanks for the giveaway, Bean!

  • Heidi

My 9 months old son’s favorite toy is his Fisher Price bongos. He has actually sat and played them for 15 minutes. In a row. All at once. Amazing!

  • Mary

Gabe’s favorite toy right now seems to be my bladder, considering he’s not due for another month. BUT, these letters are sure to be a favorite in another 9 months or so!

  • Anna from SC

My little girl (16 mo. old) loves any toy that her big brother (3 years old) is playing with; therefore, my darling sweet rosy cheeked ballerina loves trucks and baseballs and footballs. But that is ok by me. And of course, we can’t forget her stuffed Piglet. She carries that thing everywhere.

  • Debbie

… every letter makes a sound and…. says…. Yes we have the older version of the toy and the vehicles and farm one (work on matching and dexterity skills) as well. Our fridge is full.
Right now Ryan is into anything tractor or farm related. He is all about John Deere.
Side note… my son knows all his letters at 2 and half and I owe a lot of that to this toy!

  • El

My 17-month old loves blocks right now. Now Reid doesn’t always stack them, sometimes he puts them in the trash can, but they definitely entertain him!

  • Caitlin

Bink (who is within like 2 days of Bean in age) loves these giant cloth blocks from Pottery Barn Kids. They stack. They taste good. They are soft when he tumbles into them or throws them. Good all around.

  • Mitzi

My gal is 20 months and loves this extremely annoying Barney toy that plays different songs and has a little piano keyboard thing. She loves to dance to it and sing along. I put tape over the speaker so it would be quieter and now we’re both happy. The things we do/listen for cute babies!!!

  • Jeanette

    I have 3 DDs: 5, almost 3 and 6 1/2 weeks.

My 5 year old’s favorite toy is her bicycle. She would ride it all day, every day if she could. Except when its 100 degrees…then she prefers to stay inside and put her babies in a stroller and push them around.

My almost 3 year old loves to play with things that roll…soccer balls, baseballs, volleyball, tennis ball, etc. If she can throw it and chase after it while it’s rolling she’s in heaven.

My 6 1/2 week old doesn’t really have a favorite toy, yet.

Thank you, Bean, for being such a big boy and sharing!

  • Tina

The toy of the day in my house is The Leapfrog Learn and Groove alphabet drum ;] It’s educational and noisy!

  • Joslyn

Well, not MY child, but my second cousin who is also my godchild, and just over a year old.
He loves a little egg cup I gave him for his first birthday.
I’d love to be able to describe it but it’s simpler just to post the link to a good photo

    http://www.wmf.com/egg-cup-mcegg_82511341/egg-cup-mcegg_173037.html

I thought as a big boy eating grown up food but still with a child’s somewhat inconsistant relationship to it, he’d appreciate something to make mealtimes fun.
The hammer is actually bendy so he can pull it back, and when it releases it helps crack the hard boiled egg shell.

    Well, that was the plan.

What he actually does is stagger around with it in his mouth, using the hammer as the main contact point and swinging the rest of the egg holder back and forth. He does this for many, many minutes at a time.

He’s weird but I love him to bits.

  • Leslie

My son is only 19 days old… so he doesn’t really play with toys yet. He loves his swing though, so we’ll go with that!

  • Meredith

this is soo cool. Right now my little one loves her dog jack in the box. It is shaped like a dog house and you roll a wheel till a puppy pops up.

  • Ella

What a great toy! My sons favourite toy at the moment would have to be his duplo blocks.

My daughter is a month younger than Bean, and I just KNOW this would become a favorite toy for her….especially during that 5o’clock dinner fixin’ hour.

Right now her favorite toy is this little leap frog guy who sings a variety of songs when you squeeze his hand, foot or belly. She has even started dancing when he sings…super cute!

My 10 month old son’s favorite toy is an old tylenol bottle that I filled with rice and dried pasta so he can use it as a shaker. We pulled off the label so it looks less like a medicine bottle.
