    I love this.

I wish I knew how to golf.

I now have the country song “Family Tradition” playing in my head. It’s a good song, so I’m ok with that.

He comes by it honestly, I guess!

On a somewhat related note, every time one of our kids picks up a golf club, my husband starts making a “ka-ching” noise like an old SNL skit about Tiger Woods!

So cute! I love his chubby little legs with the big tall golf club…sorry I don’t know enough about golf to call it a driver or a wood or whatever!

So, I’m the genetic mutant in my family. Everyone adores golf…..but me. My parents and my hubby golf as often as they can get their hands on clubs. As a matter of fact, my hubby played in an outing this morning! My daughter even has her own clubs. Not the short plastic kind (well, she does have those), but real, actual graphite clubs….and a baby blue bag. *I* did not get them for her. That was Papa’s handiwork. I don’t even want to know what he paid for them. But it makes them all happy.

Me? I agree with a comic I once heard who was arguing that golf was *not* in fact a sport. Rather, she claimed golf was men in ugly pants….walking.

I think golf might be more interesting if there were, say, defense! Someone who jumped out of a bush and shouted at you during your down swing. Or if the green was on hydrolics…you put and then things pop up. You bob and weave to root your ball on to the hole….now THAT would be a good time. 🙂

    Cheers

Ackk! I just noticed I said the exact same thing as Megan. I am on the phone and didn’t look before I wrote my comment. Funny. It’s true, though. 🙂

    That’s our family, too!

I thought it was funny the other day when we were at the driving range, and my husband was in the front of the pack, carrying his clubs, the three year old was following next, carrying his clubs, and I was bringing up the rear, carrying my clubs, and the diaper bag, and pushing the baby in the stroller.

I’m sure we were quite the sight!
