Etsy Day: The Fuzzy Robot

It’s been a while since we’ve had an Etsy Day ’round these here parts and boy do I have a cute one for you today!  This is Jenny…

Jenny is the owner of The Fuzzy Robot, an Etsy shop specializing in knitted goods for wee ones. Specifically knitted robot goods. Jenny said she started her shop when she was shopping around for her two year old son, Jack, and was bummed to find there wasn’t as much fun stuff out there for boys as there was for girls. As a mother of a boy, I can wholeheartedly second that. Oh, there’s boy stuff out there, but there just aren’t as many options and its usually not as cute.

Enter The Fuzzy Robot.

But, holy moly do I think these things are cute! Who would have thought something as cold and technical as robots could be so…fuzzy. I love these little hats! And she has them in all kinds of colors, too.

(Though I could never buy that orange one because it is too close to Gator colors. It IS football season, after all…)

And she’s got ‘ittle bitty pink ones for the ladies. Look how tiny this little hat is!

She’s also got some infant clothing, too. Which, if you ask me, one can never have enough of. As the mother to a boy, I think this robot thing is adorable! You never see robots and hallelujah for something that isn’t dinosaurs or monster trucks!

But my favorite robot goodie has to be this daisy hat. Oh my word, if I still lived in cold weather, I’d be squeezing my fat head in this tiny, adorable hat!

    My favorite thing to shop for is sunglasses. There’s no stress over how they look and no worry about looking fat. They’re just fun!

    My favorite thing to shop for is PAPER GOODS! No, I’m not talking about paper plates and napkins for a bbq, I’m talking about note cards and stationary and envelopes and all of those lovely items that make my heart go pitter patter! I love a good monogram, or patterned paper, or letterpress anything! 🙂

    I TOTALLY agree with that – there aren’t as many cute things for boys as there are for girls. I had a terrible time finding a cute summer hat for my little guy! I wanted something simple without crabs or fish on it, and it took forever to find!

    That’s an easy one….kitchen stuff, gadgets, sm. appliances, dinnerware, etcI can browse the kitchen portion of bed bath & beyond and then go straight to Williams Sonoma and continue looking…

    I love grocery shopping! It might be because I’m a student and groceries are all I can really afford, but even when I was younger I liked going to the grocery store and picking out ingrediants, flipping through a cooking magazine and picking out recipes, then heading down the junk food aisle!

    I love shopping for my son…my how things have changed in 2 short years! 🙂 Before my son was born, I loved to shop for make-up and shampoo…is that weird?

    I love shopping for clothes for my two kids. Its sad, but I usually buy so many clothes that they don’t even get around to wearing all of them. I rationalize this habit by telling myself that my future children will be able to wear these clothes if my current ones don’t. My poor, poor hubby…

    I have a serious problem with shopping for jewelry accessories. Whether it be earrings, long strands of coloful beads or bangles, I can never have enough!

    Stuff for my kitchen, definetly. I love find neat little gadgets to make cooking easier and move fun. I don’t always buy them but i love looking at them!

    I LOVE to shop for shoes… but then I don’t wear as many as I buy. It’s like I just want to buy them and then look at them. It’s odd. (Oh, but I do love purses, too. My husband made me stop buying them.)

    I love shopping for kitchen stuff when I allow myself to actually do it. Most of the time I’m trying to resist because I just have so much! I actually do use the things I have, but storage tends to be a bit of a problem.

    Books or clothes, definitely. Also, it is almost impossible to resist adorable ensembles for my 17-month old boy. What is it about tiny outifts (some which are mini-versions of what my husband wears) that make them irresistible?

    I love shopping for shoes! Especially dressy shoes… which I basically have to create an occasion to wear them, since I almost never dress up.

    Before children, I was absolutely obsessed with table linens. These days it is clothes for my daughters. These two girls (even though one is not even born yet) are the best dressed people I know, I wish my wardrobe was so awesome! : )

    I love shopping for jackets, which is a problem because we live in a very warm climate. Closetful of coats…and nowhere to wear ’em.

    Definitely dishes! And dresses! If I could live back in the 50’s (specifically the 50’s of my imagination) when everyone had nice sets of dishes and walked around in dresses and aprons I would!

    I love shopping for purses and shoes — such a typical girly girl, ha! But I can’t help it – I have too many of each, and yet I ALWAYS look. Luckily I don’t ALWAYS buy 😉

    I love book shopping…you’ll always find something to suit your mood – Paula Dean, Glee soundtrack, Water for Elephants, Dr. Seuss… 🙂 Wonderful etsy shop!

    Shoes & purses, although I never buy any, despite all of my own falling apart. My current weakness is baby toys for my 4 mo old. Can’t help myself!

    Purses and shoes. My husband and I recently went into a Coach store and HIS pick was the “Maggie” purse. Ahhh…maybe someday we can buy it! 😉

    Baby clothes. I love shopping for baby clothes. Although, I agree wholeheartedly that there are a zillion more cute choices for girls than for boys! I’ll take anything that isn’t sports, please!!!

    My little girl needs a hat for winter, but I was not wanting to put a bucket hat on her like everything else I found. This is amazing! I will be buying one of these.
    Anyways, I like shopping for shoes! So much fun!

    So cute! I rarely shop in real stores (money savings goodness!), but love to shop for gifts for my mom and my boyfriend. Especially if it’s on the internets so I can work out the cheapest price without being distracted by other shiny things.

    Accessories are my weakness. Purses, Shoes, Earrings, Necklaces, Scarves. But, even above my weakness for accessories is shopping for my 1 1/2 year old nephew and niece. I find something cute for them and I just can’t resist!! I’ll be stopping over to see Jenny…..

    Hm, my absolute FAVE thing to shop for would be makeup. I can never just walk by Sephora. I’m worst then a little kid in a candy shop. My husband usually tries to distract me from seeing makeup anywhere haha. Seeing bright pigmented eyeshadows and brushes really makes my heart flutter.

    I love shopping for SHOES. Heels, flats, boots…really, anything that one can shove on a foot and walk around in. Ironic, really, considering that I am not great at actually WALKING in heels. But I do so love shopping for them.

    My fave thing to shop for are shoes! It doesn’t matter if I’ve recently gained 5 lbs or am feeling a bit bloated or whatever – shoes always fit 🙂 And a girl can NEVER have too many pairs (will someone please report this info to my husband?)

    I love shopping for cooking and baking supplies. All the cute cookie cutters and cake pans. Plus all sorts of gadgets that I was doing fine without, but now that I’ve seen I don’t see how I can be expected to live without.

    School supplies! It is the life long educator in me. I love new pencils, pens, highlighters, graph paper, etc. Every fall, I love looking through all the ads and picking out the post-it notes I want for my office, my classroom, etc. It reminds me of school and of course, my favorite time of year. Fall!

    I’m with you, Katie. Purses it is; well, with a side of makeup. Not only do the ladies at Coach send me thank you notes, but the girls at the Bobbi Brown counter know me by name. Odd, though, that all of my clothes are from Target or Old Navy.

    I have tons of friends knocked up right now, so I’ll be headed to the Etsy site NOW. (Seriously, is everyone preggo but me? Should I check? Is it in the water…)

    I love candles!!! I always have to stop and smell them all and it drives my hubby nuts!!!! Oh, and those little hats are gorgeous! I think I may have to get some for my girls this winter!!!!

    Yes! Cute and tasteful boys clothes are few and far between. I’m always on the lookout for robot things.

    Before I had my son, I was addicted to buying graphic t-shirts over the Internet.
    But ever since I found out I was pregnant, my favourite thing to shop for has been clothes, toys and books for him!
