Live Chat Session

Did you miss the live chat session last night with MC?  Well then you missed a rootin’ tootin’ good time.  We had over 200 people who stopped by and said hello from all over the world.  Chris and I answered questions and even polled the viewers on a few things, too.  It was so nice to spend some time with you all and get to know you a little better.  Last night confirmed to Chris and me just how blessed we are to have such lovely readers here on MC with us every day.  We hope you had just as much fun as we did.

If you missed the chat session, here’s the video.  It’s about an hour long, so pop some popcorn and enjoy!

Hi Guys, unfortunately I couldn’t join the chat live last night but just watched the whole thing at work (shhh, don’t tell anyone!) Wanted to say I LOVE your blog and hope you do this again soon 🙂 Love from across the pond x

I hate I missed the video chat last night…but I’m enjoying watching it through out the day. Just wanted to fill you in on a secret that you may not know about. My husband and I keep up with our money through Mint.com. My husband did a good bit of research on the website before we decided to use it. It’s a great way to keep up with your money together. My husband handles all the bills and most deposits…I can just log in and see all our accounts in 1 place. It also helps keep us within our budget. He handles bills and I do all the shopping. I can see how much I have left to spend within each month and where we need to cut back. It took me a while to get in a habit of checking it. It’s super helpful in our marriage and keeps us on the same page. You guys may want to check it out. Thanks for sharing so much with your readers! I enjoy the blog.

Have only been able to catch about 10-15 minutes so far (darn work! why can’t they pay me to read/watch blogs??), so I’ll catch the rest this weekend. Just wanted to say: Many thanks for letting us share your life. You help me realize lots of people have many of the daily issues, challenges, or whatever that I always thought only existed in my little world. I am not alone! Thank you!

I couldn’t join you yesterday because of the time difference (I live in Spain) but I watched it today and it was so much fun!
I really liked the comment you made about how everyone should aim to have more good things in each than bad things. A great way to look at life.

HELLO!!! Um, I loved watching this! Katie, you talk SO much like I do – I almost felt like I knew exxxactly what you were gonna say before you said it! Y’all are so cute…. Thanks for doing this 🙂

Thanks you guys!! It was a fun hour, but at the end I felt like I was saying goodbye to two friends, and I was a little sad… don’t wait for Gracie to get here before you do another! You two are so warm and friendly and good salt-of-the-earth people, you can’t help but feel a connection to you after reading this. Thanks again!

Just watched the live chat. You guys are so stinkin cute 🙂 My hubs and I have been married a little over a year, and it seems everyone around us wants to put the world on our shoulders. Reading your blog and especially watching this is helping me remember it will all end, and reminds me how grateful I am for my wonderful husband. Thanks you guys!!!

I was all set to cuddle up in my bed and watch the whole live chat when some unexpected visitors decided it was game night at my apartment. So I had to play hostess and was unable to attend, although the whole time I kept looking at the clocking thinking “yep, it’s on right now.” Oh well, I watched it all tonight. I locked myself in my room, left the boyfriend out in the living room and told him I’d be back in an hour! Loved it, and I am SO excited for you to get started with you book! I would definitely pre-order it and I think a book tour would be GREAT! Savannah, GA, please!

I loved the live chat. I have to say, if you ever do a road trip/book tour, you *must* to Northern Michigan. The Traverse City area, to be exact (that’s the pinky area of the mitten). Sadly, we don’t have a CiCi’s, but we’ve got to have something that will do. 🙂

It’s so true what you guys said about babysitters. The people I babysit for get really angry if any of their friends ask me to babysit their kids. It’s kind of funny. 🙂

Hey ya’all – I was able to watch your blog this morning! To answer a couple of your questions:
    1. Love the new blog format except for two areas. One, you already know about – this comment section, and the other is that this darn grey print is so awful to read! At least make it a dark charcoal grey.
    2. Gracie absolutely should have her own page. While it may be easier to combine a page for the two kids at first, as Gracie gets older and develops it will be too difficult to separate and give proper highlight to each’s personality and development.
Glad to hear your book is still on the back burner.

Totally loved this video chat! I didn’t watch it live and am kicking myself bc I really would have enjoyed chatting with you all. Thanks for having such an awesome blog! I totally recommend it to everyone I know! 🙂

  • Marie

I loved this! Almost like reading a book – I have a mental picture of how you two interact based on your blog and now I got to see it in real life! You’re like the modern version of Lucy and Ricky! 🙂

  • Haley

I can’t wait for the book.. I am a new reader so I try to catch up when I’m bored.. I am sure that now you have found a babysitter but here in Iowa people find them a lot of the time by using the college job boards. 🙂 Just thought I’d try and help. :))
