Gracie and Kitty Kitty

IMG_0375
Gracie is a cuddler. Have I ever told you that? Well, she is. She will root down into your neck as far as you will let her and then, once she’s warm and cozy in there, she’ll close her eyes and sigh a sweet, satisfied, milk-scented sigh. And that’s where she’ll stay until you make her come out. She likes to hold onto things, too. If she’s laying down, you can put your hand on her belly and instinctively, she’ll wrap both arms around your arm and hold on for dear life. She’s just a little cuddle bug.

One night Gracie was chilling in her swing and she seemed a bit lonely. So, I grabbed one of her stuffed dolls and laid it in there with her.

And this was how Kitty Kitty came into our lives.

Immediately, Gracie wrapped both arms around Kitty Kitty and nuzzled down into her neck where she promptly fell asleep.

And when she woke from her nap, Gracie continued to hold on to Kitty Kitty for dear life while also chewing on her soft little ears. Within a matter of hours, Gracie and Kitty Kitty became inseparable.

It is pretty much the cutest thing in the entire world. Gracie just hugs and hugs and hugs on Kitty Kitty. And then she gnaws and gnaws and gnaws on Kitty Kitty. And then she snuggles with her until they both fall asleep. It’s basically a match made in the most adorable heaven ever.

It also has freed up a lot of time for Chris and me. Without a baby roosting in our necks 24 hours a day, we’re not sure what to do with ourselves…
