Tonight I had a meeting at church and so Chris was on dinner and bedtime duty. As I sat in my meeting, Chris texted me pictures of their night.
Apparently, everyone dog piles in Gracie’s crib at bedtime when Mom’s away…
I try not to worry when I’m gone, but then I see pictures like this and I think, “What the heck happens when I’m not there?!?!”
By the time I got home, though, everyone was in bed and sleeping soundly with no bodily injuries visible. So, while I’m not quite sure what happens on daddy’s night in, I’m going to assume it all works out.

7) name*Rhona: Our kids are all grown now but when they were little and I needed to be gone in the evening, my husband would declare Super Snack Night. That meant they would have 3 junk foods to snack on that my husband especially chose because it was something I would never buy. It also meant lots and lots of t.v. The kids loved it and it took off some of the stress they would feel at my leaving. (02.09.2012 11:32am)

11) Babytromm: I will be leaving my 3 little ones with my husband for 4 days this summer, for the first time, and I am totally freaking out about it becuase I don't know what goes on when I am away. 13) Louise: This post made me laugh so hard. My boyfriend and I don't have kids but we have 3 dogs. If I am out for an evening and he is responsible for afternoon walks and dinner I am usually left wondering what happens when I'm not here. You and Chris are an inspiration for what I hope my boyfriend and I are when we are married. I love your honest approach and willingness to share some of the not so pretty points of your relationship that everyone goes through but not everyone is willing to share.
