Down For the Count
Remember that day when Jenn Hopkins took our family photos and I looked like this?
And then remember that time I got the flu and a double ear infection and looked like this?
Oh, what a difference a 101.3 degree fever makes, friends. I have been in my bed since Sunday night and I think I may be here for the rest of my life. I dragged myself to the doctor today and the verdict was the flu, with a side of double ear infections. Which explains why I feel like I’m on a boat whenever I try to stand up.

I got some prescriptions today, but so far, they don’t seem to be doing much. But I’m hoping that by tomorrow I’ll feel like getting out of my death bed.
Until then, if you need me, I’ll be laying in my bed. Eating oranges and popping pills and demanding my pillow be fluffed every hour on the hour.
I’d appreciate some healthy thoughts and prayers.
AND SOME EFFING TISSUES WITH ALOE IN THEM! GOOD LORD, KLEENEX! YOU’RE KILLING ME HERE!

Get well soon, Katie! Psssst when I am going through Kleenexes like that I just put an old pillowcase next to the bed and use it like a giant hankie, until all the clean spaces are used up! Sounds gross but it’s much nicer on your nose. And I figure I’m already deep in a cloud of germs anyways so a few more on my hankie can’t hurt.

First, feel better! Second, Puffs makes tissues with aloe, tissues with lotion and these ones that I like, but freak me out a little bit, but they come in a shiny blue box and are cold when you pull them out of the box and they feel very nice on your nose!

Baby wipes make a really good substitute to tissues. Much less chafing and redness if you can handle the squishiness 🙂
