I went into Gracie’s room the other morning because I heard her waking up.
Normally, she fake cries when she wakes up until I come to get her. But on this particular morning, she wasn’t crying. She was laughing.
So, I go in there to get her. It’s pitch black because it’s, like, 5:00am. I walked into the room, and before I could get my bearings, I realized there was someone sitting in Gracie’s tiny rocking chair.
It was Bean. And he was wearing only his underwear.
“Hi, Mom,” he said, rocking away.
“Hey, Buddy,” I said, confused. “Um… what are you doing in here?”
“I’m just singing,” he replied happily.
Uh huh… Uh huh… Totally normal.
“Okay, well, where are your pajamas?”
“Oh, they were too heavy, so I took them off.”
Oh. Sure. Okay. Makes total sense to me.

1) Christy: What's the big deal, mom? You didn't get the 5 am party invite? I bet they entertain each other quite a bit. Maybe they were Santa snooping. (12.17.2012 08:43pm)

8) Andrea: I enjoyed this! My little boy is 2 1/2 and actually pretty strong, but he is now going through a phase where everything is too "feavy" (heavy). The other day he lifted up a tortilla chip and said "Oh, it's too feavy!" in a little whiny voice. Kids are so bizarre sometimes. (12.18.2012 02:55pm)
