Daily Dose of Tillman: Monday

I hope y’all don’t mind, but it’s going to be babypalooza on the blog today.  I just finished downloading my pictures from Christmas, and I have spent the last hour cooing over pictures of my nephew, Baby Tillman.  Seriously.  I caught myself saying things like, “Wook at those wittle tootsies!” to my computer screen.  If he’s cute enough to cause that nonsense, then I must share him with you.  Hopefully, you’ll be cooing nonsense at your computers, too, and then I won’t feel so alone.

Each day this week, I’ll post a little conversation with Baby T-Man. He’s a pretty funny little guy. Should be good times.

“Baby Tillman!” I squealed as soon as we walked in the door. “We are so excited to see you!”

“Hey! ‘Sup Aunt Katie! Hey little cuzzes. I’m digging that striped shirt, Bean Man. Stripes are where it’s at, bro. So, what are we doing today, kids?”

“Well,” said Bean. “I was just about to brush my teeth. Want me to teach you how?”

“Uh, sure,” Tillman said hesitantly.

“Okay, you take this spinning toothbrush and you put it up to your teeth and then you press this little red button,” instructed Bean.

“Uh… um… I’m afraid I’m going to have to speak to my team about this activity before we proceed any further. Where’s Nana?”

(whispers with Nana)

“Uh huh… Well, after consulting with my team of experts, I’m afraid I’m going to have to pass on this activity, Bean.”

“But why????”

“Well, turns out I don’t have any teeth.”

“Oh, yeah. That’s understandable, I guess,” said Bean. “We could play with my pirate ship instead!”

“Oh, sure,” said Baby Tillman. “That’d be cool. I’ve never seen a pirate ship.”

“Here,” said Bean. “You can hold this Tick Tock Crock.”

“Oh, thanks, man! That’s real chill of you,” Baby Tillman said, taking the crocodile. “Let me just… see if I… can… get these hands… into my mouth…”

“What’s wrong with your hands?” asked Bean.

“I have no idea. I keep telling Mom that they are broken, but she doesn’t believe me. I swear, though, they just whack out all the time, going crazy like they’s not even mine.”

“Oh, man. That’s terrible!” said Bean. “Do you want me to help you with that crocodile?”

“Nah, man,” said Baby Tillman. “That’s alright. It’s probably, like, you know, a choking hazard or something.”

“Oh, yeah,” said Bean knowingly.

“So, moving on,” said Baby Tillman. “Where’s Cousin Gracie? I hear she’s a lot of fun.”

“Can’t talk now, Baby T,” said Gracie. “I’ve got people of my own.  I’ll pencil you in for breakfast tomorrow, though.”

Ahhh…definitely cooing nonsense at my computer too!! And I’m at WORK!! 😛 ha ha….my colleagues probably think I’ve lost it! Oh well, baby Tillman is definitely worth it! I love the part of the conversation when Bean asks about his hands. “What’s wrong with your hands?” asked Bean. “I have no idea. I keep telling Mom that they are broken, but she doesn’t believe me. I swear, though, they just whack out all the time, going crazy like they’re not even mine.” HA HA HA…that’s hilarious! You should print off these photos and make a scrapbook for Baby Tillman when he grows up! Wonderful memories! I am looking forward to next week’s conversation!
