A Moment of Gratitude

For cleaning supplies, laundry detergent, and bottles of wine.

For a week off of work to be with my family.

For extra tiny helping hands in the kitchen.

For food on our table.

For a roof over our heads.

For warm beds at night.

For jobs.

For health insurance.

For old friends who call to catch up at just the moment I need to hear their voice.

For a church who teaches Chris and I how to give generously and live richly.

For my country, flaws and all.

For neighbors who bring cookies.

For store clerks who smile and chat as if they haven’t been on their feet for hours.

For our cluttered, messy, work-in-progress, filled-with-love home.

For family near, far, and above.

For my husband who loves me whether I deserve it or not.

For my children and the joy they bring to my life.

For so many, many, many, things, I am beyond grateful.  So far beyond thankful.  I am undeserving and humbled by these things in my life.  And if I forget to say it throughout the rest of the year, let me pause now in this season of gratitude and raise my hands to the heavens and say, “Every good and perfect gift comes from you, Father of My Heart.  Holy, holy, holy is Your Name.”

Thanksgiving blessings and wishes to you and yours this week.

Love,

Katie
