Greatness All Around Me

Two great things happened last week to two of the most important people in my life.  If that’s not blog-worthy, then I don’t know what is!

First, my awesome sister did this awesome thing for an awesome high school friend.  And then our hometown news got wind of it and suddenly it’s all over my Facebook feed!  I’m so proud of Ginny AND Sean for both of their servant’s hearts.  This is just the sweetest story.

And as if that wasn’t enough celebration and pride last week, my own husband just rocked the business world in Central Florida by becoming the first arts organization to make the Top 100 Businesses list!

Chris has been working on their documentation to be considered for this award for months, and to see it finally come to pass and for his theater to be on the list is just amazing. Chris and his Orlando Rep family do great things for the children of our community and I am so happy they are receiving recognition for their hard work.

My dad told me one time in high school to hang out with people that are better than you. Surround yourself with people smarter than you, kinder than you, bolder than you, more successful than you. Because those qualities rub off on people. I’m extra thankful this week that I have taken my dad’s advice and surrounded myself by these two smart, strong, and successful people. They both make me a better person, just by being near them.
