Southern Weddings: Come On Baby, Light My Fire

I posted this on Twitter and Facebook, but I thought I’d put it on my blog, too.  My latest column is up at Southern Weddings Magazine.  Hop on over and check out my thoughts and ideas as I answer the question, “How do you keep the spark after you’re married?”  Be sure to leave some comment love so I know if I’ve got some friendly faces over there!  And while you’re there, flip around the site and take a look at some of their wedding profiles.  Holy moly do they have some beautiful weddings over there.  My favorite so far was a wedding in Georgia whose theme was birds nests.  It was gorgeous and I loved where they got married.  Breathtakingly beautiful to me.

Also, now is a great time to point out that I usually use Twitter and Facebook to share these kinds of announcements with readers, so if you aren’t already a member of the group, then click on over and join!  I have been known to also do giveaways strictly through Twitter or Facebook before, so membership comes with its perks…

Hope you all have a fabulous Hump Day today!  Pictures coming tomorrow of Bean’s birthday party and I’ll just go ahead and save you the suspense – he enjoyed his cake.  The End.

Southern Weddings: Managing Your Marriage and Your Money

Hey guys!  Come visit me today over at my favorite wedding magazine, Southern Weddings. This month I answered a reader’s question about managing money when you first get married.  Its complicated.  Its tricky.  But, hey!  Its only money, right?

And while you’re there, be sure to check out the delicious wedding details the lovely ladies of publishing are highlighting this week.  My personal favorite?  The gospel choir at the South Carolina wedding.  Made me say, “AMEN!” in my living room.

Also, if you’ve got a question about marriage or weddings that you’d like answered, feel free to leave it in the comments here.  I’m always looking for my next topic!

Even More Fun Things!

If you’re hitting your afternoon slump in your office or have just put the wee ones down for their afternoon nap and are in search of some internet entertainment, allow me to suggest the following:

My latest column for Southern Weddings Magazine is up and running today.  Skip on over to my favorite wedding dream team and check out my thoughts on Figuring Out the In-Laws. Good for a few giggles if you’ve been sniffin’ on the White Out or Crayola markers, I’m sure…

Or, if you need a little testosterone in your afternoon, head over to The Man Cave and check out Chris’ new post on our favorite Connecticut meal – chili.  We only have another week here before we head on out to sunnier beaches and we’re celebrating the closing on this chapter in our lives with our favorite New England feast.  So good you’ll just have to get neked and dance, I assure you.

And lastly, if you find yourself bored and lookin’ for some fun tomorrow night around the 8:00 PM EST hour, be sure you check out the first ever Marriage Confessions LIVE Video Chat!  I’ll post the link to the chat room in Facebook, on Twitter, and here tomorrow afternoon.  Chris and I will answer all your questions about our website, blogging in general, and growing your site.  And we’ll probably eat Girl Scout cookies in front of you while we do it, so feel free to bring your own box.  No webcam needed on your end.  Just a website and your questions.  And your cookies.  Don’t forget your cookies.
