Bits of Bean’s Weekend
I read a blog called, “Six in the City” that I really love. It’s about a family of six (go figure) who relocated from the suburbs to New York. One of my favorite things about this blog is that on Monday’s, Michelle does a feature called Bits of My Weekend where she tells about her weekend using pictures and minimal words. It’s such a fun idea.
I realize that a) I am totally copying her blog posts and b) that it is not, in fact, Monday. But still. I thought I’d try my first Bits of Bean’s Weekend today and see how it goes. Michelle, if you’re reading this, feel free to critique and/or sue me for plagiarism.
Here we go…
Because Chris had a conference for work all weekend, Bean and I stayed with my parents so that we could hang with my Dad for Father’s Day.
Please note that in about the first five minutes, Bean figured out how to empty the water out of the pool…
…and in about six minutes he got bored with the pool (that took us half an hour to set up) and crawled out.
Please also note that Bean is only wearing a swimming diaper and not an actual bathing suit. This really irritates Chris. He wants Bean clothed at all times. It’s actually caused fights with us before. But since Chris was working, I let Bean skinny dip.
Nana lets Bean eat all the watermelon he wants. Which is one of many reasons why Bean loves his Nana.
(How’m I doing, Michelle? Too much talking? I can’t help it! I’m a talker!)
That’s the great thing about eating watermelon in a pool. When Bean gets too sticky, you just rinse him off!
Bean rounded out his visit with a little Beethoven. Granddad and Nana let him beat on the piano as much as he wants. This is just another reason of many why Bean loves his Nana and Granddad.
Well, that was Bean’s weekend. Or, bits of it anyway!

I love this idea for a post! Such cute pics!
I’m so glad that we aren’t the only ones who have the clothing debate. My husband wants my son dressed all the time. Last night we just had this debate as my son was going outside to play with his water table.

Love, love, love that you did this!
And Bean. What can I say? Bean might be the cutest baby in the world!
I can say that b/c mine are well past the baby stage. Most of mine are in the teenage, raging hormone stage. And that, my friend, is not so cute. 🙂

The results are in… Bean IS the CUTEST BABY IN THE WORLD!!!

Bean has wonderful taste. Watermelon SHOULD be consumed by the ton.

Love the rinse off method. I’m not going to lie.. I’ve done that to my husband with the hose when he comes back from fishing more than once. hehe

Totally loved it!!, the clothes debate goes on here too, but is all the way around, I’m the one that cannot stand watching him without it, I don’t know why I just do.. The rinse part awsome!! and the idea for the post very good too.. at least you gave michelle credit for it and then put you katie touch to the idea..!

Oh my goodness Chris. The years when a body can get away with being naked – and look cute doing it – are few. Let the baby be free!

So sweet! Weekends with the grandparents are the best!

LOVE the pics of Beanie’s weekend! Keep this up….I like it 🙂
I agree, let him be free and naked. Better now then when he is 16!!!

We bought a piano when our first born was about 6 months old, and we asked the sales man if it would hurt to let the baby play it. He said that it would be fine as long as the only thing he hit the keys with were body parts. And the way he said it struck me as funny and it has stuck with me now for years.
