Lions and Tigers and Velociraptors, Oh My!
Today we had a spontaneous family adventure to the zoo. I had never been to this zoo before and it was pretty nice. Kinda of small, but that gave it some charm, I think.
What I was not so crazy about was that each animal exhibit was connected by long boardwalks that cut through the vegetation. And since we got there early in the morning, we were often alone walking on these isolated wooden paths. All I could think about were alligators and lizards and snakes…
And then we saw this fence…
And all I could think about were velociraptors.

Are you at the Brevard zoo?! If your answer is yes, I’m waay jealous. I miss feeding the giraffes!

Just remember for Velociraptors that for every one you see there are two more approaching you from the sides.
Also they have figured out they can jump that fence.

Argh! For months (maybe even years) I was convinced Dinosaurs were going to come back to life & attack my house! I used to have a good plan though, I shared a room with my older sister and she slept closest the window – so they’d get her first, giving me time to run! I was a really nice kid wasn’t I? Quite willing to leave my sister be sacrificed to the dinosaurs so I could live…luckily I never told her!

That just gave me the shivers!

I drive past the Central Florida Zoo everyday on my way to work and I keep planning on going but haven’t yet. I’ll have to drag the hubby there on a date soon.
