Texts With My Sister
The kids and I are heading to my sister’s house in Atlanta tomorrow. We are making a pit stop at my mom’s house today first, though, to help her harvest her second batch of honey from her bee hives. We are going to help her collect and process the honey and then tomorrow morning, my mom, me, and the kids will load up in my van and head to Atlanta. The plan is to be there by lunch.
Pretty good plan, right? Unfortunately, Ginny refuses to accept this pit stop. She wants us to skip the bees and come to her house a day earlier. Which is what she told me in the following text messages.
P.S. Things you should know before reading these texts.
- My sister is always convinced people are getting ready to “surprise” her. No one ever is.
- My sister is a morning person. I am not.
- My sister’s favorite summer activity is calling me on her way to work at 7:00 in the morning and waking me up during the summer. I’ve stopped answering her phone calls, but will text her back sometimes when I’m feeling… friendly… like this morning.
Oh, man. Sisters are the best. 🙂
