Reviews,  Stuff I Use

The New Year

Remember last year when I told you about our friend, Brett, who is a filmmaker?  He made a movie called, The New Year. He has been touring the movie at film festivals all over the country this past year and it has gotten rave reviews. Seriously. Go to their website and just read some of the reviews and awards it has won.

The New Year is now up for a big award that is voted on by regular non-film-critic people like you and me. The Gotham Independent Film Awards celebrates new independent films in the industry and is a big honor for Brett.

Which means it is a big honor for me and Chris since we automatically assume some of the credit for any of our friend’s accomplishments, even if we had NO PART in the making of their art whatsoever. We feel it’s a perk we get for feeding them beer and giving them a place to sober up for the past ten years.
