Santa Came to Town
Last year I did a series of posts on what Bean got for Christmas and I also did one on what he got for his birthday. They were a big hit, so I thought I’d do it again this year. The point of these posts is not to show off what we’ve giving, but to give others ideas of toys for their kids. I love to see what other kids are playing with because it gives me great ideas for Bean and I hope you guys get some good ideas from these posts, too. Our family was so generous to Bean this year. He was a lucky little boy.
Santa brought Bean his big boy bed, of course, but he also brought Bean a few other little things. Like this basketball hoop.
Bean loves this thing! It is just his size and he can already dunk like a champ!
We found this basketball hoop on Amazon when we bought something else for Bean’s Christmas. It was one of those suggested purchases that Amazon makes and it was dead on. We wouldn’t have thought of it on our own, but I’m so glad they suggested it!
The other thing that Santa brought Bean was a little wooden activity toy.
Bean loves playing with these at the doctor’s office, but I always cringe when he does because I know they are just covered with sick germs. So, this was one of the gifts that I knew I wanted to get him. I tried finding him one of those wooden activity cubes that has toys like this on each side of the big cube, but those suckers are expensive and hard to find. I had almost given up on the idea when I found this little toy in Ikea, of all places, when I was buying his duvet. $7.99 and he was good to go!
Bean can’t tell how much it costs. He just knows that he finally has this toy that he has always loved right in his own bedroom now!
The last thing that Santa brought Bean was a bean bag for his bedroom.
It’s in the shape of a car to match his new car bedroom theme. So far, Bean’s not too interested in this one yet. I’m hoping it’s just because there were so many other things to play with on Christmas morning and that maybe he’ll re-discover it when things settle down a bit. For now, at least it looks cute sitting in his bedroom…
We’ll go through the rest of Bean’s Christmas toys this week. Tune in for more tomorrow….

Looks like Bean made out like a bandit at Christmas! And I love Amazon.com’s suggested purchases. They always are helpful, especially when I am browsing books. I’ve found so many good books that way.

I love these posts! My son (Eli) is exactly a year younger than Bean & I looked back to your gifts from last year to get some ideas for him!
We got him one of those wooden cubes this year as a toy he will hopefully grow into. I found a super cute one at Target for $50, which I thought was a great price!

Great post! We have the drs office toy too! (that’s what we call it around the house..) I have a random question about his bedroom furniture. Where did you get the little table and chair set? I am looking for something like that but can’t seem to find anything for under $100 that looks sturdy… Thanks!

Thank you so much for posting these. I have a four month old and actually went to your archives for Christmas. It took DAYS to track down the Baby Einstein animal tunnel. Those suckers go on ebay like hot cakes cause they dont make them anymore. I was at t$80 till I realized what the heck this is a $40 toy! Found a used one in great condition buy it now thank goodness. Also can’t wait for a splash table this summer! Please keep posting I love the suggestions 🙂
