I love Gracie’s bedding! So elegant! Also, I think the towel on the door idea was from me… unless someone else had the same method for keeping short people from locking themselves in rooms. :o)
Regarding your back…has anyone ever suggested or have you tried yet, a pregnancy back belt. It looks just like a weight belt or a back support belt for people who do heavy lifting at work. Just a wide strip of fabric that goes under your belly and fastens with velcro. During the last month of my second pregnancy I wore one 24 hours a day. It helped my back not to hurt during the day and it helped my muscles not to strain when I rolled over in bed at night. It really saved me from injuring my back. You can find them at maternity stores for about $30.
Sweet video, I loved it, laughed out loud several times! Thanks Abby for the towel idea, because I am going to use that when Levi is ready to “play” and lock himself in rooms! Gracie’s nursery is so pretty and girly and perfect! I hope Friday’s physical therapy goes well!
Aw, I miss you guys! Turquoise in the bathroom would be awesome–maybe with a few lime green accessories. That’s my professional painty opinion ๐ You many be exhausted, Katie, but you are glowing. And I am jealous of your awesome pregnancy hair!
I LOVE Gracie’s bedding. I am a Shabby Chic FREAK!
And…your hair is getting SO long. Don’t you just love how that happens during pregnancy. It was one of my favorite things…of like maybe 2 things. lol… Pregnancy wasn’t my favorite thing in the world.
Love the bedroom and bathroom! When we moved into our house we went with a sea theme too since my brother and I would be sharing a bathroom and we painted it a similar blue. We sponge painted purple over it to match the shower curtain and it turned out so pretty. I even collected some seashells from P’cola beach and put them in a glass vase. Maybe Bean could collect some to put in his bathroom!
Both of you look so sweet together… especially when talking about the baby and Bean. I’m kinda less nervous now about trying for a baby next year. We want babies but… you know, the fears, worries and what ifs. Maybe it’ll all just work out, aye. ๐ Thanks for the boost in faith and confidence.
um…I love your yellow shoes! I remember thinking that when you posted your picture of the closet. And then I thought that again tonight in the video. And I love the stripes in Gracie’s room…how long did it take you to do that?
i am so living thru you right now. i just had my second little guy about a month ago and i adore my boys but i love following your journey into pinkland…lol. loving the baby room ๐
You are so cute pregnant! Gracie’s room looks so wonderful! Ok something that is not related to this, but related to you, I was reading Book Page. It’s a book review that can with a package of books I bought. And low and behold the Pioneer Woman is in the interview section. I don’t read her blog (gasp!) but it was still neat to read the interview!
Gracie’s room is so pretty. You are very lucky to be able to do a room just for her. My baby girl is getting hand-me downs. Just can’t swing 2 baby rooms 2 years apart.
Ummm, I seriously love your shoes. And you look FABULOUS! I totally wish I looked that cute when I was preggers ๐
I love the bedding and the decorating in both the bedroom and the bathroom! Question – where did you get the paintings you have hung in Gracie’s room? They’re adorable!

Just wanted to let you know Target/Walmart/Babies R Us/Toys R Us sells finger pinchers. They are white foamy door things that do what the towel is but is less obvious. It blocks the door from closing at all – and kinda bounces it back so fingers dont get pinched here is a link we love them here. http://www.google.com/products/catalog?hl=en&sugexp=ldymls&xhr=t&q=safety+first+finger+pinch+guard&cp=16&rlz=1R2TSHB_en&bav=on.1,or.&wrapid=tljp129818787795236&um=1&ie=UTF-8&cid=15728033501052468990&ei=d8ZgTcSIGomasAPm3K3QCA&sa=X&oi=product_catalog_result&ct=result&resnum=3&sqi=2&ved=0CDgQ8wIwAg#

I got these for my baby shower with Drew. I love them. No more locked kids in rooms, no pinched fingers, and no towels on the door ๐
