Like Father, Like Son
One of my mother-in-law’s favorite stories of Chris and his sister, Annie, is from when they were really little. Annie and Chris are four years apart and when Annie was a baby, Chris used to wake up early in the morning and go crawl into her crib with her. They’d play in there until Jackie woke up and she’d find them happily entertained. Still to this day, Chris and Annie are incredibly close, so that story doesn’t surprise me at all.
This Sunday morning, we skipped church because Bean has been fighting a bit of a cold and we thought we’d let him rest up this weekend. He had gotten up early with me and we were watching cartoons and eating cereal. I got up to go to the bathroom and when I came back, Bean was nowhere to be found. I looked everywhere and just as I started to panic, I heard Gracie giggling.
Like father, like son.

Absolutely adorable! I think that is the only regret I have waiting so long between my boys-there is 8 years between them…and of course the 1 year old loves his big brother it’s still a huge age difference b/c big brother has reached the age where he does require a tad bit more sleep…

I used to try and put my sister in the dish washer. This is waaaaaay better.

Those moments between siblings are simply magical. I love when I wake up in the mornings and my 4 year old is in her 2 year old sisters crib. They snuggle up under the blanket and have girl talk. . . .or jibber jabber. It makes me melt. And yep seeing other people’s kids do the same makes me melt too!

Awwwww!!! I used to do that too, when my brother and I were little. Except I would also climb in when he was crying and then I would cry too. Lots of racket in our house…. not a lot has changed in 22 years, whenever we’re all home, we are LOUD.

What a sweet relationship! I’ve got a nephew who loves his baby sister like that 🙂 I would also like to state that Bean is one of the very cutest boys I’ve EVER seen. Most kids are cute just because they are kids, but he is especially over the top!

Oh Beanman…. my heart melts. He’s already the best older brother Gracie could’ve asked for (I mean, we knew it was true before, but it’s fun how he keeps proving it). How sweet!

That is so cute! I love how much he loves his little sister and I’d love to hear what you did to make sure that he is not holding a grudge against Gracie for taking away some of your attention.
