A Day in the Life: Video Diary
I’m toying with the idea of more vlogging. Not sure yet if I like the idea, or if I am technology proficient enough to pull it off, but we’ll see. For my first attempt, I decided to take you kind folk with me through a day in the life of our family. This weekend was heavenly for us. We didn’t leave the house once. And it was wonderful! On Sunday, I decided to video snippets of our day to give you all a glimpse inside one of our days. It’s long, so pop some popcorn!
(Programming note: I messed up on one of the video clips and put 4:50 when it was really 3:45. Thought I’d point that out before your viewing experience…)
(Programming note: I say that you can print Instagram pictures at Walmart, but I meant Walgreens. My bad.)

I LOVE this peak into your life!
haha I also have when you asked Chris how the Man Cave part of the blog was, the last post was back in august! lol
I look forward to seeing your next vlog post!

Rachel I was thinking the same. Well, actually I was thinking maybe Katie should take down the Man Cave and the Reviews section of this blog since they are rarely updated. Especially because of her recent post about not really feeling the blog so much lately. It would be a couple sections smaller and maybe help her feel more focused and spread less thin.

That was fun! I enjoyed a peek into your life, was wondering what time the kids went to bed at though, after that long nap!

I loved your Vlog! This is such a fun and great idea ! Keep doing it 🙂

This was such a great peek into a day in your life! Bean and Gracie are just so adorable. I agree about consolidating the site – it’s totally understandable if you’re feeling overwhelmed.
Margaret
Bean wakes up, dresses himself and then feeds the dogs?? What does he need parents for anymore? Also, we have the exact same sharing convos with Ez as you do with Bean. Soooo maybe there’s a reason he’s not living on his own quite yet. Great video! Makes me want to make one, too, just so we have a record of their voices in fifteen years!

Ok, a few things
1. Your kids are EVEN CUTER on video than just pictures, I love little kid voices and hearing how they say things! 😉
2. I’m lovin than you listen to country music!!!
3. Your pool and weather has been making me jealous lately. Please stop with the outdoors pictures…. 😉
4. This vlog thing sis fun!
Lindsey
Your kids are adorable and I agree, their voices are precious!

I love the VLOG post very much. It makes you seem even more “real” when we see the insides and outsides of your daily life in video. I loved hearing your kids talking. I can not believe that Gracie is that big already, wasn’t she just a baby?!?! Thanks for keeping it real!! Love you Kate!!
Angie
I hope you keep writing! I can’t usually watch videos at work, and that’s where I don my blog reading (shh…don’t tell the bosses!).
Suzanne
I LOVE this idea! And those kids are just too cute! I love Gracie’s sass 🙂

Loved this! Chris & Bean crack me up! My husband would probably kill me if I tried to follow him around with a video camera all day.
Ann @ such a mama
So Bean just goes and takes a nap… Like without screaming and crying???
Alex
Uhm, liked it but I would take your writing any time! I don’t know, maybe if the vlog is shorter? anyway, your kids are sooooooooo cute! I am going to miss you so much if you decide to part with the blog…
momiss
“Michael Brown”? Not Michael Christopher Brown? Or whatever Bean’s middle name is? LOL My kid’s always knew they were in trouble when they heard their middle names. 😉 Poor little guy. I think I’m going to send you some more sponges. LOL Such sweet little kids! You did good, Katie, you did REEEEAAALLL good!

ah I loved that! I still love your writing, but the VLOG is great for a frequent feature perhaps. I liked seeing your day in the life. I did one a while back, just photos rather than VLOG, it’s here if you want to see: http://www.littletinbird.co.uk/2013/03/14/a-day-in-the-life-part-1-photo-heavy/
I love that I will have it to look back on, even two months on our days have changed quite a lot. They do still revolve around weaning and sleeping and wiping up though!

Daria
I loved this! It was really fun.

I seriously loved this. I am always so curious as to how other moms spend their days. Thanks for letting me peek. I might have to steal this idea one day!
Allison
This was such a fun peek into your everyday life! I’ve been reading your blog for at least a year (and I also feel like we are imaginary friends) – and just thought I should finally take the time to let you know how much I LOVE your blog! Thanks for sharing your life, advice and laughs with us! You blog always brightens my day. 🙂

I absolutely loved everything about this. It makes you feel real and you’re so down to earth. Your captions made me laugh! You and your family are awesome!!
Christy
I loved this vlog! What an awesome weekend you had. Just enough productivity mixed with fun. Thank you for posting it! I do have to get on my soapbox about one thing: when Chris is working on the deck or 2 or 3 pm in the afternoon on a summer Florida day he needs a shirt, hat, and sunscreen. I mean it! I don’t want him getting skin cancer in a few years. It’s just not worth it. His back looked so red to me in the video. Be careful, Chris.

How fun is this! What a fun idea. It’s so great to see a day in the life of another family.
Melissa
I know I am super late watching this – but I loved the video about your life! Your kids are so cute and I found it very interesting that Chris seems to do all the work around the house 😉 (he’ll appreciate that I’m sure). I also love how you seem to have music playing in the background and I LOVE that – I wish I was more intentional about music but tend to forget!
