Greetings from Paradise!
School ended last week and I am having terrible withdraws. I miss my students. I miss grading papers. I miss giving out detentions and referrals. I miss waking up early and rushing home to get dinner on the table. I guess I’m just one of those teachers who doesn’t know what to do with herself all summer long.
S’NOT!!!!!!!!!!
GREETINGS FROM PARADISE! Our family left on Saturday morning and caravanned with my mom and Grandma up to my hometown for a week long beach retreat.
So far, we have been loving having Grandmommma AND Nana together in the same room…
…eating fresh seafood again…
…getting pedicures (Gracie’s first!)…
…enjoying tasty frozen adult beverages on the balcony at sunset…
…and just generally having a blast!
It rained all day yesterday, but we were able to get out at dinner time when there was a break in the weather to put our toes in the sand. The rain is supposed to blow out today, and the rest of the week should be sunny, sunny, sunny!
Although, the rain hasn’t really been a problem at all. It is heaven to just sit and be for a while. We have been playing slap jack, paddle balls, and I’ve even gotten to read half a book already!
I will be posting all week, but you can also follow our family on Instagram. My user name is MarriageConfessions. Our whole family (me, Chris, and Ginny) are all using the hashtag #MCvacay2013, so be sure to search that on Instagram to see ALL our family pictures.
Hope you guys are enjoying the beginning of your summer adventures, too! And now, I’m off to the beach with my honey bunny…

We LOVE your hometown. Since moving to New Orleans…your hometown and that area has become our weekend getaway place. With as many beaches as I’ve been on…I don’t think there is a prettier beach than right there on the gulf coast. Have fun!

There is a lot of redheads in that bunch! What a fun family vacation – with built in babysitters so you can read a book and have a date night!
