He.
He would rather be outside than inside on any given day.
He stops playing every so often to come find me and get a snuggle.
He caught a lizard by his tail and screamed like a girl when the tail broke off.
He loves movies.
He loves Legos.
He loves superheroes.
He loves God more.
He is one of the smartest kids I’ve ever met.
He is the only person that still talks to me regularly about my dad.
He still says that dogs “woof” instead of dogs “bark.”
He loves books, bookstores, and libraries.
He’s a pouter.
He hates getting dressed up more than anything else in the world.
He thinks Ninja Turtles live inside every sewer grate.
He will try anything.
He likes to play by himself, but is one of the most popular kids in his class.
He laughs until he starts to cry when he is tired.
He loves going to Home Depot with his dad.
He brings out the best in people around him.
He will probably be mayor.
He is an old soul.
He was the first person to call me mom.
He teaches me how to be a good parent.
He teaches me how to be a better person.
He is my whole world.

Beautiful post about a beautiful boy. I love the picture this paints of him, and although all kids have their own personalities I think it says a lot about your parenting too. For example instilling a love of God, and his love for books and libraries. He’s a little superstar. And so are you!

I’ve been reading your blog since 2011. I continue to be impressed by your writing, inspired by your honest thoughts, moved by your ability to share, and tickled by your “realness”.
This post almost made me cry. I’m the mother of a 5 month old boy, my first child, and reading this post made me so excited about my upcoming adventures as a mommy.
Keep doing what you are doing!
