10/10 – Happy/Unhappy

10 Things That Make Me Happy Right Now

  1. Celebrating the last days of school! I cannot wait for virtual school to be finished for the kids and working from home to be finished for me!
  2. Diet Root Beer (Barq’s, ooooobviously)
  3. My new deck furniture and sails. We are using the deck so much more and it’s not even finished yet!
  4. Watching “Call the Midwife.” How am I so late to this party?!
  5. The “Grass” scent of Mrs. Meyers. I thought it would smell… like grass, I guess. But it smells more floral and I love it!
  6. Going to bed early. These days are feeling longer and longer, aren’t they??? Is that just me??? Climbing into bed by 8:30 or 9:00 has been really nice.
  7. Sending snail mail.
  8. Keto! I’m down 10 pounds and I am feeling really great!
  9. Planting flowers and taking care of them, both indoors and out. I don’t have much of a green thumb, but I’m trying REALLY hard and it’s slowly paying off!
  10. Starbucks drive thru. It’s my own little go-to pick-me-up when I’m having a down day.

10 Things That Make Me Unhappy Right Now

  1. Working from home. I never liked it before and I don’t like it now. How is it possible to feel both useless AND overwhelmed at the same time?!
  2. It’s been raining here for daaaaaaaays.
  3. Laundry. Somehow I got behind and now it is taking over my life, my house, and my emotional wellbeing. Lord, please come down from Heaven and do my laundry for me. Amen.
  4. Summer starting. Anyone else having trouble with this transition right now?
  5. Keeping my house clean, day after day, with all of us home all the time. I’ve almost given up.
  6. Eggs and avocados. Which is tough because they are great for keto, but I’m just not feeling them lately.
  7. Trying to keep my kids off screens. *stabs self in the eye*
  8. The mask I ordered from Etsy. It is cute, but it doesn’t fit right and it itches. Don’t worry, I still wear it every time I’m out in public, but I’m not smiling underneath it, I’ll tell you that…
  9. Cooking. Over it. Done. We’re all going to starve to death.
  10. My kids’ rediscovered love of making tents… all over the house… all the time. It looks like a homeless shelter at my house.

I am working from home for the first time and loving it! My anxiety level is way down. No distractions or interruptions and my productively level is up. Just my take on my experience.
