Tails.
“Uhhh….Big Molly?” said Bean. “Uhhh… There’s something hanging off of you back here…”
“What the…??” said Bean.
“Hey, uh, Molly?” said Bean. “I mean, I don’t want to scare you or anything, but this thing is pretty big. And hairy, too.”
“Oh, that’s my tail,” said Big Molly.
“What’s a tail?” asked Bean.
“You know,” said Big Molly. “Its that thing that chases you around and then sometimes you can chase it around and then you can catch it and then you can chew on it. But that kind of hurts.”
“I don’t think I have one of those,” said Bean.
“Sure you do,” said Big Molly. “Stand up. I’ll show you.”
“Okay,” said Bean. “But I don’t think I do…”
“Well?” said Bean. “Do I have one?”
“Huh,” said Big Molly. “You don’t.”
(silence)
“Well then give me yours!”

Pulling to standing. PULLING TO STANDING. What has this world come to?!? Nate can’t see this blog post…he might get some ideas…about pulling to standing…or pulling his brothers’ tails. (Cats have them, too…)

we have a black lab named Kirby and i was always kinda grossed out when AJ would chew on his tail. but Kirby was always such a good sport about it and it’s so adorable now to see them playing together, running through the house. i get to look forward to more tail chewing from my little girl now, she’s almost 4 months!
look at beanie standing!!! they will be running together in no time!

Bean and his Big Molly remind me of a book I used to read to death called ‘What do you think, Feezal?’ by Elizabeth Honey, about a girl called Bean who lived in a skyscraper in Sydney and desperately wanted a dog. Of course, other things happened in the story, but just reading these gorgeous posts with Bean and Molly make me remember the book and how much I loved it.
The Bean is lucky to have such a lovely friend. 🙂
