The Easiest Pinterest Make-Over Ever

Saturday night was a real rager around here.  After the kids went to be at 8:00, I sat up until 11:00 under my favorite blanket on the couch pinning everything Pinterest had to pin.  Seriously.  I actually reached a point where there was nothing left to scroll through, and then I stood up, stretched, and declared, “I HAVE REACHED THE END OF THE INTERNET!” In the middle of my pinning craze, I came across the most brilliant, simple pin I’ve found yet. The pin is here and the original post…

My Pinterest Successes

*** The winners of the Monsters University packages will be announced tomorrow!  Be sure to check in and see if one of them is you! *** I think it has been well documented on this blog that I am a Pinterest addict. I can’t help it, but at least I can admit it. They say that’s the first step. I normally use Pinterest for my meal planning. I sit down on Saturday mornings with my grocery list, coupons, and iPad and I cruise Pinterest until I find good recipes for…

Another Pinterest Project

Hi, my name is Katie and I am addicted to Pinterest. Ever since my obsession with Pinterest first began, I’ve had my eye on these particular bookshelves for Bean’s room. They are really thin and close to the wall, and the idea is that you display the books facing out so that the kids can see them better. I saw them and immediately thought they would be perfect in Bean’s room because of how much he (and Gracie, too) love books. Plus, I hoped it would be a way to…

Birthday Plans (ALREADY?!?!)

Oh, my Gracie Girl. How I love that child. I simply cannot believe that she is turning one at the end of March. I keep redoing the math and checking my calendar just to be sure that it really is here. Gracie, on the other hand, has been counting down the days. I think she thinks she gets a drivers license on her first birthday. I haven’t had the heart to tell her that the only car she’s getting will be made by Fisher Price. And have pedals. I really…

Organize Me

My New Years resolution was about being healthy and I’m doing a pretty good job with that one. I’m avoiding sweets and haven’t had a Diet Coke since…well…Monday. BUT! Before that I hadn’t had one in WEEKS, I tell you! I’m going with the general rule of thumb that when presented with two options, I will choose the healthier. And life hasn’t been as awful on that path as I expected. Along the way through 2012, though, I seem to have picked up a second resolution that I hadn’t planned…

The Best Idea of 2011

Hi, I’m Katie and I’m a Pinterest addict. But, at least I don’t Pinterest alone. I am here to share with you what I find, whether you want to hear about it or not. You are supporting my Pinterest habit. Thank you for your contribution to my non-existent social life.  (My user name is MarriageConfess, by the way…) Anyway, the other day I was browsing through the household goods pins (I have become so good at my addiction that I can now hone in on what I’m looking for by…

A Thanksgiving Miracle! Very Pinteresting…

Yesterday I did something miraculous. I baked. Actually, there was no baking required. Technically, I assembled. The second most miraculous thing was that what I assembled was a recipe I found on Pinterest. I’ve never seen something online and then turned around and made it before. Isn’t that weird? The third most miraculous thing I did yesterday was that my cookies ended up looking JUST LIKE this picture from Pinterest. Three Thanksgiving miracles in one day. So, I figured maybe I should share the recipe. This is what you’ll need:…

Love Pinterest

A few months ago I was introduced to Pinterest.com. For those of you who aren’t familiar with it, it’s a website that works kind of like an interactive bulletin board. You “pin” pictures of things you find on the internet. If this sounds like something you’d find fun or “pinteresting,” then you should create an account and get started. But let me warn you…it is incredibly addicting. You get on there and start looking around and before you know it, it’s 11:00 at night and you’re still sitting on the…
