“Come on, Beanie,” I said. “Let’s put on your shoes for our fall family picture.”
“Oh, man!” said Beanie. “I hate wearing shoes!”
“I know, Buddy. You don’t have to wear them for long.”
“Well, I don’t know,” he said. “Are you sure I don’t look silly?”
“No way, Bean! You look so handsome in your fall outfit!”
“Yeah, but you’re my mom,” said Beanie. “Molly, how do you think I look?”
“Pimpin’,” said Molly. “You look pimpin’.”
“Pimpin'” repeated Beanie. “I can handle that.”
“Okay, Mom. Lets do this fall family picture thing.”
“Okay, Bean,” I said. “Say cheese.”
